Alongside my work helping people with chronic pain, I also offer a small number of traditional Ayurvedic therapies.

These therapies have been practised in India for thousands of years and are designed to support relaxation, restoration and overall wellbeing. While each treatment has its own unique purpose, they all share the same intention: to help quieten the nervous system, restore balance and encourage the body’s natural capacity for healing.

Whether you are looking for deep relaxation, support through a stressful period or simply time to reconnect with yourself, these treatments offer a different pace from everyday life.

Abhyanga - Warm Oil Body Therapy

£110 / 1 hour 30 mins

There is something profoundly comforting about warm oil applied with slow, rhythmic movements.

Abhyanga is the traditional Ayurvedic full-body massage, performed using generous amounts of warm herbal oil selected to suit your individual constitution. The treatment is both deeply relaxing and quietly invigorating, encouraging the body to soften while calming an overactive mind.

Many people notice a sense of warmth, lightness and ease after treatment, often describing improved sleep, reduced stress and a renewed feeling of connection with their body.

Whether enjoyed as part of a regular wellbeing routine or simply as an opportunity to pause and restore, Abhyanga is one of Ayurveda’s most nourishing therapies.

Shirodhara - A Gentle Stream of Warm Oil for Deep Relaxation

£90 / 60 minutes

Shirodhara is one of Ayurveda’s most distinctive and deeply restorative treatments.

During the treatment, a continuous stream of warm herbal oil is gently poured across the forehead in a slow, steady rhythm while you rest comfortably. The experience is remarkably peaceful, allowing the body to settle into a state of profound relaxation.

Clients often describe a feeling of mental quietness afterwards—as though the constant chatter of everyday life has softened. Many find it particularly supportive during periods of stress, overwhelm or poor sleep, when it can be difficult to switch off.

This is a treatment that invites stillness, creating space for both body and mind to unwind.

Udvartana - Revitalising Herbal Powder Therapy

£90 / 1 hour 15 mins

Unlike the flowing movements of Abhyanga, Udvartana uses warm oil and herbal powders applied with stimulating massage techniques to gently awaken and energise the body.

Traditionally used in Ayurveda to encourage circulation, invigorate the skin and support healthy metabolism, the treatment leaves many people feeling lighter, brighter and refreshed.

The fine herbal powders also provide a natural exfoliation, leaving the skin velvety smooth and renewed.

Udvartana is an uplifting treatment, particularly suited to those who enjoy a more energising experience than an oil massage.

Not every treatment is appropriate for every person.

If you’re unsure which therapy would be most suitable, I’m always happy to talk through your needs and recommend the approach that is likely to be of greatest benefit.
